Message from the Command Sergeant Major
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the family members back home that have supported the soldiers of the 226th Area Support Group. You are the true heroes of this deployment, without each of you and the support you have provided to these soldiers and to each other back home, these soldiers could not focus on the mission here in Iraq. You are an integral part of our unit and your contribution will always be remembered by each of us here in Iraq. Your soldiers are performing in an outstanding manner. You should take great pride in the job they are doing here on a daily basis. They are providing logistical support to the combat forces and they are a combat multiplier for the troops here in the province. The attitude of the soldiers has been outstanding from the start. Whether it was during the hard training at the mobilization station or the departure from family and loved ones at Camp Shelby, they have met every task with a positive can do attitude. Each soldier in this unit is to be commended for their hard work and dedication to the 226th ASG and the mission at hand. Each is a true professional soldier. Each of us here looks forward to the day we see you again at Camp Shelby during our demobilization and completion of this tour of duty. Until then, we will continue to do our duty and represent the United States of America and the State of Alabama in a professional manner and one in which each of you can be proud of. From the NCO ranks of the 226th ASG, we would like to again say “Thank You” for your continued, untiring and proactive support of this unit and all unit personnel. You are always in the thoughts, prayers and minds of all soldiers in the 226th ASG.
CSM Tom Ray
