Message from Colonel David S. White, Commander 226th ASG

“Well Done”.These are the words spoken to all of the soldiers of the 226th ASG in a recent visit by Brigadier General Timothy C. Hanifen, Commander of the II Marine Air Wing Forward, the Air Combatant Commander of the Al Anbar Province, and the higher Command of the 226th ASG.This is the highest compliment that can be paid to a unit serving under the II Marine Air Wing.
I fully concur with his compliment and want to express my deepest appreciation to all of the soldiers of the 226th ASG for who have so faithfully served here the last 365 days.We are preparing for redeployment and we are all very excited!
As soon as we arrived here we set some very aggressive goals. As evidenced by the vast improvements we have made to the base infrastructure, the airfield infrastructure and to the life support systems of Al Asad, I am happy to report we have successfully completed every goal, objective and mission we set out to achieve. In addition, we have worked diligently to achieve our motto of “Quality in Quantity” in every aspect of our mission and responsibilities here.We have succeeded in being a combat multiplier and a tactical enhancement to the servicemen here at Al Asad.
To the families and to the Family Readiness Group, I can say “Well Done”.We could not have achieved our many successes without your support and help.Thank you and we look forward to seeing each of you soon.
It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve with each of the soldiers of the 226th ASG.
COL David S. White
Commander
